Second Wednesdays - A Special Series - The Christian Church in a Globalized World
Second Wednesdays - A Special Series - The Christian Church in a Globalized World
On the second Wednesday of the month from February to June, 2012, Mission Renewal Center will hold a series of lectures/discussions on the issue of the Christian Church in today's world.
"Today's world" means a globalized and multi-cultural world. The voices from Asia and Africa have been the strongest and most intriguing voices in this contemporary rethinking of the Christian Church. The Euro-American world can learn much from the Christian thinkers from Asia and Africa. Since the majority of the human population is found in the Southern part of the hemispheric world, the ways in which women and men live out their Christian commitment in these areas can provide the Euro-American world with new insights and understandings of the message of Jesus.

February 8 - The Church of East Asia - new view of what it means to be a Christian in a Confucian-Daoist world.
